Everyone Worth Knowing by Jeff Richards


I really enjoyed the story “Cool Guitar” by Jeff Richards. His style, to me, is a fusion of Hemingway with his declarative sentences, Bukowski in themes, and Vonnegut in overall attitude. Not to mention he offers great tidbits in the story about great artists to check out for yourself, further illustrating sound knowledge of his subject matter. To me, this book of short stories is a good example of why to write short stories. That is, to give a reader a flavor of your skill so they come back for something bigger that you have produced. I just may get my hands on a copy of Jeff’s novel.
