NYC tourists 
rent Citi bikes 
without realizing 
that the terrain
north of 55th street 
is essentially alpine 
meaning you’ll be pushing
not peddling
your two-wheeled metal monster 
up the avenue 
causing traffic 
while Manhattan 
repulsed 
shakes her head in disgust 
at your walk of shame
