Len Adam writes thought-provoking flash fiction. I read short story number 7, titled “Shadow People.” Though brief, I found it to be one of the more interesting fictional explanations for how there can be alien existence without human detection. A lot of how I judge a work is whether I return to it in my mind after the fact. What happens with the shadow people in this story does come back to me. It comes back to me, I think, because it presents an issue that I’ve thought about a lot, but never in the way Adam’s presents it. We are victims to incomplete information on many subjects. This story reminds me of that.
